I got two GA tickets to see Slayer in four weeks. :] I bought two thinking I would have someone to go with but no one I know would genuinely enjoy their show so I'm in a pickle.

Get on the slayer fan boards or FB Slayer page and find a super fan. Slayer super fans are probably fun. :)
I love those metal shows. The crowds are great. One of the best shows I've seen was Judas Priest. Not a big fan of the music, but that crowd was awesome and really made it a great time!
You're right haha I will once it gets close to the show date and I've yet to drag someone with me \m/

I love metal shows too. Seen Slayer in Milwaukee earlier this year, great show, even with out Jeff and Dave. I'm going to see Amon Amarth later this week.

My friend just won tix to Sam Roberts band at the Commodore Ballroom in February. That's Sam Roberts and the Tragically Hip that month. A very Canadian month. :) Sam Roberts band is super good live - saw them back in 2007 or so, and had a fantastic time, so really glad to be seeing them again (at the best venue in Vancouver). :)

I've heard great things about Sam Roberts live. Wish I could say the same about the Tragically Hip, but they were awful at Massey Hall in my opinion, and I would not give them a penny to see them live.

I have heard that Gord sounds shitty live now, but they still put on an entertaining show... i hope that last part's true at least, and maybe the reports of his voice are exaggerated (saw a recent live vid clip and I thought it sounded pretty good), and that your show was just a flub. Because I paid $144 for the ticket... i figured I'd get a great seat and see them from that vantage point once in my life, since I love them. Last time I saw them was in '95 at a festival, and I was so high I can't even really remember it anyway. :\">

October was a big concert month for me, but now I got nothing. Anyone hear of anything good coming to the Philly area? Ill even travel to New York or DC for the right band. Im thinking about doing a long weekend is Chicago so I can check out the Bowie exhibit. Has anyone been?
