    added Buddy Guy June 25th
Very cool! Have you seen him before?

no. glad to have this last opportunity. a few years ago I had giveaway tix and chose not to go.
It's definitely an event to see him live. Even in his 80's, Buddy Guy can tear it up like no one else. He plays really loud, too. Not a bad idea to take earplugs if you value your hearing.

thanks for that. disposables or something like those eargasm types?
I've been using Hearos from Guitar Center for years. They make them out of silicone and they have a post in the center that allows you to "tune" the amount of high frequencies that you can hear.

They are very helpful and unlike other earplugs, they don't make everything sound like a muffled mess.

The last ones I bought cost about $15.00 and they held up for years of pretty heavy use. Still going, actually.

Just went through the ordeal of getting tickets through a TM artist presale.  Only needed 2 but kept getting the "Someone beat you to it" message so I had the bright idea to buy 3, hoping there would be less competition.  It worked, and luckily I found someone to take the 3rd ticket.

Not sure how effective the new-ish waiting room process is in terms of combating the bots, but sometimes, I wish they'd go back to the old days where you'd risk crashing the site if too many people were trying for tickets.

Saw Jim Croce's son AJ last night. Very good show. AJ is a fantastic piano player and he also plays guitar and Sings (although not quite on the same level as his father). He had some great stories and has been playing since he was quite young. He went blind when he was young because he was beaten so severely by his stepfather but regained partial sight years later. Jim died when he was very young and wrote several songs about AJ, including Time In A Bottle. He also covered songs like Nothing From Nothing which was fun. His piano style is very much rooted in the blues and his influences tend to be the likes of artists such as Dr John, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Blind Blake, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Leon Russell... I took my nephew who is 15 and plays piano and guitar and he throughly enjoyed it. His voice is much more "gruff" than Jim's but fits his own style very well.

Maggie Rogers is doing an in-person presale for tickets for her summer tour. Show up at the local box office to get a ticket. Pretty cool idea if she's coming to your neighborhood.
