Rolling Stones - Some Girls

picked up a copy of this on vinyl a few weeks back from Half Priced Books in Pittsburgh. just pulled it out to play for the first time. however, all the writing on the actual vinyl, besides song titles, are in german. rare find or not a big deal?

    Google the band, album and catalog number or do the same on ebay.

    I don't know if the German writing is a big deal or not, I think it just means you got a German pressing of the album.

    On the artwork does it have the actual women (Lucille Balle, Marilyn Monroe, Raquel Welch, etc) on it? Or is it one of the covers that was changed? Because I think the original artwork with the women on it before they were forced to remove it is worth something.

    yes, it has all those famous old dames :) .
    and yep, going to do a google search to see if i have a bit of a rarity. no big deal if not, i was just surprised to see the german writing on the vinyl. cool find regardless for $5.

    Then you might have something. I've never been able to find one with the original artwork. I've seen the ones that have the "PARDON OUR APPEARANCE - COVER UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION" message, and the one with the hand drawn women on it.

    I bought a crate of vinyl awhile back and it had the Japanese pressing of Beatles-Help on wine red vinyl. It's a really cool piece. Mines in rough shape, but I searched it on ebay and nice copies go for pretty big bucks.

    cool. thanks SatansFuton. cool find for $5. the good news to me is that the vinyl itself is in great condition. just played it at an unacceptable volume for an apartment complex getting ready for the weekend.
