Help re Foro Sol in Mexico City

I'm thinking of making a special trip for this show...

does anyone reading this know this venue? If I go GA-A, which is the front floor section, is that area somehow separated from the rest of the floor (GA-B), and does that give any protection regarding how crowded it gets?

On the Foro Sol seating chart, it looks like the GA-A section is fairly small, so I'm thinking, if I have a ticket for that section, then the worst I can end up (given that I'm not prepared to arrive days early and wait outside to be among the first ones in) is at the back of that section, which appears still to be fairly close (I mean, less than halfway back on the floor). Is that right?

Well man I'm form Mexico and I can answer these questions:

1) There is a division between GA-A and GA-B, no matter of the crowd (imagine a metallica concert, completely full but still, there was a fine division).

2) indeed, GA-A is small, but you don't need to arrive earlier to cath a good spot. You'll find that form almost every point of this area you will see perfectly.

ernstomar82: Were you there for Metallica or Iron Maiden? I want to have an idea about people waiting in line for the show since it is general admission. A good spot is not good enough, I want front row against the barrier but I don't think it will be easy what do you think about that?

i just got my ticket i i just did the GA b i might not be very close but i will be there!
i am going alone so meting some pj peps is a must.
i have looked at all the hotels for 5 days straight and still do not know were to stay.
damn i hate going by myself i guess i am just tired of it went to PJ20 alone and 2 shows in 2010.
so please help me out and lets find a hotel were we can all look out for each other
what better way of saying thanks than on Thanksgiving Day gonna be great.
so i have come down to staying around the airport which isn't to far from the venue.
there is a hilton and i think one more inside the airport or a ramada and a holiday inn thats kinda close to both
the airport and foro sol.
please help me with my decision that would be a great help
hell lets get one big ass suite and have a grande time with music and lots of carta blanca
jk if your gonna do something mine as well go all out and have the best damn time you can!!!

I'm staying at the near by hotel Grand Prix, for the night of the show.

It is the closest to the venue since it is across the street. I believe that fans from afar will either stay there or by the airport since it is about 2 miles from the venue.

I will put in all the time and effort to be as close to the facemelting as possible but i would not arrive until the day of the show. The crazy locals will be camping out for days. Now Costa Rica is a different story because I will be there days in advance, have a tent handy and be staying close to see when the line starts to form. I'm going to make it fucking happen!
