I think he would be thrilled if those Russians were expelled back into the Russian professional leagues.

Goodness, that is definitely a hot take, lol! I actually understand the sentiment completely... I would love to hear what the Russian NHL players have to say politically. Before knowing where they stand, I don't think i can form a real opinion on this.

this take is kind of similar to what putin would say about westerners playing in the KHL. You start ejecting people by political views, where does that land you?

Check out this clip from the 2nd round in 94 before the Canucks faced the Leafs. Shane Churla (One of the toughest goons in the NHL at the time) learned the hard way getting knocked out cold at the hands of Bure.

Haha that's not handling himself, that's being incredibly dirty and delivering a cheap shot. Look i'm not a leafs fan, I have no horse in this fight, my OG team doesn't even exist. I just remember that story coming from either the leafs or the canuck back in the day

There's a variety of factors involved, including how many games they played for the team. 

I think they care more about getting their name on the cup over a ring, which isn't guaranteed even for people who were on the team the whole season. Case in point:

Thank you for that answer, so in hockey 🏒  I gather you have play at least half a season(41 games) with a team to get you name on the Cup as a rule.  The reason I asked was back in 2004 when RedSox won the WS. NOMAR Garciaparra was given a ring even though he was traded to the other Sox. It was given behind closed doors. That was a RedSox team decision. 

Great game and the man Brad Marchand 👏 came up huge.  I'd love to see him raise the Cup again. Monday night I'm driving over to Sunrise and see if I can sneak into the game. I know a guy that works there that can get me in.
