And Phil Kessel was HIGHWAY ROBBED of the Conn Smythe last year. Sid didn't do jack shit in the playoffs till the last 3 games of the Final. But it's the only trophy he didn't have so they just haaaaaaaad to give it to him.

And they always get that once in a lifetime player. Lemieux, Jagr, Crosby, and to some extent Malkin

^ Not sure if you're parroting the belief that the NHL rigs the sport for Pittsburgh, but Jagr was picked fifth. And in regards to the Conn Smythe, The Phil could have certainly won it, but Crosby is consistently the best player on the ice throughout the season, and then even more so in the playoffs. He was also a beast throughout the whole Final.

You actually get a pretty good insight into this being that you got to witness a few Cup wins in quick secession (lucky bastard): Towes in 2010; Kane in '13; Keith in '15: did they all deserve the trophy? Honest question, I have no opinion either way.

he was a minus during the playoffs last year. the Conn Smythe is about the full playoffs not 3 games. Sid is the best player in the game but no way in hell did he deserve Conn Smythe last year.

Surely there's more to it than +/-, though, right?

Toews was deserving in 2010. He was 2nd in playoff scoring (1pt behind Danny Briere of Philly, also deserving). Kane was right there (28 pts) and Patrick Sharp (22 pts, +10), too. Really any of those 4 could've gotten it.
2013 I think should have gone to Corey Crawford or David Krejci of Boston. Kane led the Hawks in scoring & finished 2nd in the playoffs, but Krejci had 7 more points and a +13. Crawford led all goaltenders with a 1.84 GAA and made a ton of great saves when they were needed the most.
2015 honestly could have been any of Toews, Kane, or Keith as they were all at the top in scoring, but Keith had 21 points as a defenceman & a +16 (no one else had higher than +7) and ate four square meals of ice time a day.

of course but he also didn't score a goal in the finals. I doubt any other forward has ever done that and still won the award. the general consensus was he didn't deserve the Conn Smythe last year.

I would've given it to Couture before Crosby last year, even on the losing side. Kessel was little no doubt the playoff MVP for the winning team but there was no better player the Logan Couture in the playoffs last year. Not even close.

I love that blowing a series can still be referred to as "Pulling a Sharks"
This is like "Pulling a Munson" for any Kingpin/Woody Harrelson fans.
F Logan Couture. I like him even less than The Whiny Little Bitch. If I had not been for the fans I might've rooted for the building to collapse upon itself during the Stanley Cup Finals last year. (Obviously hyperbole.)

Sorry -- should have put "If it has not been for the fans (of other clubs that happened to be in the barn) I might've rooted for the building to collapse upon itself during the Stanley Cup Finals last year. (Obviously hyperbole.) "

Just saw that play on Crosby. I don't know how Niskanen got a game misconduct? Last year Kessel literally took his his stick to one of our players and didn't get a penalty

I said it was cheap. You are upset because I called him Crysby?

I'm all for steamrolling that guy but I will not cheer for cross checks to the face.

Go Caps, even this series up!
