Fuck Ovie! Fuck D.C.! Fuck Holtby! But mostly, fuck the fuckin' Bolts for not even bothering to show up for the past two games. What the fuckin' fuck!?!

    Fuck!!!

They're eating chips, watchin Ovy and da boys skate around them like pylons.   I expect a better response from them in the next game though... Yzerman should put on his skates and show them how its done.
There was also a time Stevie Y wasn't considered a good captain ... look how it all played out in the end...

    M99, I will pretend I didn't read that....lol

The long layoff caught up with the Bolts, I expect them to be better next game.  There's too much offense on that team to get rolled over like the last 2 games, and the goalie has to play better.

    Hamilton 9-13-05; Toronto 5-9-06, Toronto 8-21-09, Toronto 9-12-11, Hamilton 9-15-11....

I never said the series was over ... could care a less who wins that series.  I'm all in rooting for the Jets.

  • it's really bizarre to have lived through the Jets being borderline terrible for most of my childhood....to them leaving....to them being terrible when they came back.....to being this close to the cup. it's kind of surreal, even for a casual fan.

winnipeg is usually only mentioned by americans in some sort of joking way, or a "where the fuck is that?" way......now people and celebrities are talking about this city all over the place. it's weird.

Thrashers moved to Winnipeg and became the Jets*.  Atlanta doesn't care about hockey and the NHL apparently didn't learn that the first time (see: Calgary Flames).

*The original Winnipeg Jets are the current Phoenix Coyotes.

I got t-bay on proline for the win tonight.  They have to bounce back on one game.

Teams remaining in my hockeypool: Jets, Bolts, and Cap players left.   Need a high scoring game tonight... 5-4 tampa  cmon!

Something to consider in the NHL playoffs.  Such a grind already, you certainly don't want the guys out doing blow from the butts of "escorts"

Yep, and the Minneapolis Lakers (so named because Minnesota is the "Land of 10,000 Lakes") became the LA Lakers (any lakes in Los Angeles?) and now we have the Minnesota Timberwolves.  The Vancouver Grizzlies became the Memphis Grizzlies (definitely no brown bears in Tennessee).

Speaking of which.. The Baltimore Orioles became the New York Yankees and now we have the Baltimore Orioles again, which used to be the St. Louis Browns, which used to be the Milwaukee Brewers.  And now we have the Milwaukee Brewers which used to be the Seattle Pilots.

What else are teams suppose to to do if they can not make a go of it in their current city.  Atlanta was a long shot to survive at best.  If the NHL hadn't put so much effort into Phoenix they'd be gone by now...

got moved to Saturday, which kinda puts a wrench in my long weekend plans, but not a huge deal. people on facebook are freaking out all over the place, people claiming they travelled/booked flights/hotels for the show, etc.

I live 5 minutes from the arena, so no real biggie for me.

What about LA Dodgers were once in NYC.
Wtf is 'Jazz' about Utah hahaha?
When choosing a team I always look at the oldest teams in any league in North America.
