Why?  It's the same players that would otherwise be playing in the northern tier.  Do you really think that having a team in Quebec City would be healthier for the league than Tampa?  Not a chance.  

Also, the players themselves seem to prefer living and working in nicer and warmer cities (self-own, I know coming from Buffalo).  Quebec City would just be another outpost like Winnipeg and Edmonton.

Well one thing to be said for NHL hockey in Atlanta is it is the best way to get more teams in Canada! We are two for two on franchise relocations so far! ...Still think it is dumb Calgary calls themselves the Flames though, almost as stupid as Memphis calling themselves the Grizzlies!

Well one thing to be said for NHL hockey in Atlanta is it is the best way to get more teams in Canada! We are two for two on franchise relocations so far! ...Still think it is dumb Calgary calls themselves the Flames though, almost as stupid as Memphis calling themselves the Grizzlies! 

How is the jazz scene in SLC?  Maybe it kicks ass, but one thinks of NY, Chicago and NOLA as the jazz centers.

Obviously haven’t been paying attention to the news for the past 10 years. Alberta is consistently on fire.

I stopped after two as well.  And that was well after midnight EST.  And the goal was like 17 seconds left in the 4th so it had to be near 2AM.  

I thought the no goal call in the first OT was weak, so while I kind of want Carolina to win, FL deserved Game 1.

I stayed up till 11:30. 
I thought the no goal call in the 1st OT was clear as day. The announcers were making it seem all close, I don't think they've seen a goalie interference call before lol. Not pushed in, clear contact 2x, simple call.

Canes have some work to do, but super close games.

I cant bet against Florida....they survived death on that Marchand breakaway in game 5 as regulation expired , the Bruins up a goal in game 7, under a minute...tie, then win in OT
