It is, going to try to tune it to as many games as possible. Is this the first time this has ever happened, or just the first time they're marketing it?

I think I just heard it's the second it has happened. First time was last year, but first time with the staggered times

Oh cool, thanks for the article.  Kinda funny it happened in April, so the phenomenon has occurred twice in 2023.  I'm here for it.

Good team. Happy the Nucks are in 2nd place! If only they could unload the Chaos Giraffe and the Mighty Mouse. One is useless and overpaid, the other is just overpaid. Allvin and Rutherford just might turn this mess around.

I think i read that at least 3 teams have scored 9 or more goals against San Jose this year and a couple others have like 5 and 6. Of course they will probably beat the Flyers tonight for their first win (hopefully not though).

and I was right. Although I was expecting the score to be like 6-5 or 5-4 or something like that.

Pretty surprising the Flyers beat the Canucks (quite handily in fact) but we’re nipped by the toothless Sharks. That’s why they play the games. I didn’t watch it, but by all reports the Flyers deserved a better fate

Yes.  He has to bulk up though.  I know it's hockey and small players are great,  but getting bigger would be good.

I’m trying to not get too far ahead of myself here, but the Nucks look like a wagon. I’d be concerned with too many injuries on the blue line though. They are in on Zadorov and/or Tanev when they are shopped, but it will take some serious salary cap gymnastics to make it work.
I would imagine the Chaos Giraffe (who has played well lately) and the 4.1 million French fourth line forward would have to be a part of any deal which would then require the dreaded sweetener.

I don’t support trading anymore draft picks. The cupboard is only starting to fill up after the JB disaster years

Should be interesting to learn what finally did Corey Perry in.  The guy has been a jack wagon all along,  now it seems he got caught doing something Corey Perry-like.
(I'm hoping the denial of the "family involvement" rumors means that awful story is not true.  I don't think even Corey Perry would do something like that.)

    Anyway, good riddance.

Also....how 'bout those Kings!  19 games, 29 points?  Don't see Talbot doing this all year....but if he can be close, this is a fun team and should be a tough out in the spring.

The Blackhawks just can't go more than 3-4 months without some big controversy.  I'm sure what actually happened will leak out at some point.  The rumor going around was just absurd....some asshole on twitter or reddit says something stupid and people just run with it.

Kings have been great.  The West is going to be really tough this year.

It sounds like Perry did something to an employee...not a parent of a player. That rumor is still being pushed as fact though.

Possibly a female trainer or something? Maybe he said or did something prior to the game that was revealed during the game?

Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson did not disclose the details of the findings of the internal investigation but told reporters during a news conference Tuesday that Perry was “immediately pulled from the game” last Wednesday after management had become aware of the situation, which the GM called a “workplace matter.”
“This does not involve any players or their families and anything that suggests otherwise or anyone that suggests otherwise is wildly inaccurate and, frankly, it’s disgusting,” Davidson said.

I take back the last sentence here. A fifth (they got for an overpaid fourth liner amazingly with no sweetener involved) and a third three years from now for a 4/5 defenceman from a division rival. Zadorov is alsa a UFA at the end of the year, so this is a no risk move. Yes please, can I have another?

Take a bow Patrick Allvin.  The difference a competent GM makes on an organization cannot be overstated.

In Vancouver for work. Snagged a ticket in the nosebleeds for the Hughes Bros Bash tonight.  Figured I should be there for something that rarely happens unless it was the Sutters in the 80s.  Want to see Quinn light his baby bros up tonight.

One of the first people in the building!  ;)

Kings went down 0-3, looked like they would lose their first road game of the year.
Nope, won it on 1st shot in OT, 4-3.
Gotta keep pace w.Vegas and Vancouver!

^^^ I like to locate my seat and relax for a bit. The concourse in the Rogers Arena love is pretty narrow.
Helluva game, thought the Nucks would pull it out but fell asleep after tying it for some reason.

Kings are a juggernaut on the road. Crazy
