Help! Posters Either Lost or Stolen in Vancouver Airport

I set down my tube containing my girl and I's Edmonton posters to fill out a customs form in front of the Air Canada/United ticket counter and when I turned around- literally- it was gone. I'm hoping it was an honest mistake and someone might have mistaken it for theirs somehow...

There was one gentleman in that area a few minutes later with an EDVDDR shirt and carrying a poster tube. I'm not accusing at all, but I'm hoping if you are that guy, you could check your tube and see if my name and address are on it. I wrote that right on the tube at one end with a sharpie...

    Small Update: Checked with airport and Air Canada again today. Nothing has been turned in. I really want to apologize later to the guy if he comes forward, but I'm starting to be very suspicious of the interaction I had with the dude in the brown EDVDDR license plate shirt (I didn't notice where the shirt was from because all of the other shirts from the shows I went to were gray.) I asked him if that might be my posters and he said, a bit too defensively, that they were his and then scurried away. My girl even commented on how strange that was to watch. If I had it to do over, I would have politely insisted to see the ends of the tube to see if my name and address were on it. It's my plea to the fan community that if you know who this guy is or might be or might have seen him in the airport on the 28th in the afternoon, please pass along any information you can. That little brown tube meant a lot to me, and I'm still holding out that it's an honest mistake, although now that I know that it at least doesn't appear to be an honest swap it seems less likely all the time...

    I know how much that little brown tube means to you, and if we can't find it, we'll find a way to replace it!

    Oh man, that makes me sooo sad. :( What a terrible thing to have happen especially after the other idiot that you had to help evict and ended up kicking your girl in the head! At least those two aren't typical PJ fans, and I know you had a blast otherwise. :) You guys helped us out too, at least I think it's you as I don't know your board name. :lol: Please keep me updated.

    If you are (or know) the dude in the brown EDVDDR shirt that was in the Vancouver airport at the time and day I mentioned and read this please speak your mind - you can contact me in private, this does not necessarily need to be a public discussion. However, if you did take my posters and recognize they are not yours but plan on keeping them one way or another, I do hope you that you feel you have seen enough live shows at this point to last you. Because, I do see a lot of them. I will recognize you. And we will be talking very publicly at some point. Thank You...

    would calling airport security and or vancouver police help? ... i'm sure there were video cameras rolling somewhere ...

    YES! This is a great idea! Everyone's on camera all the time, no matter what airport you're at.

    A friend of mine lost her laptop at the airport - turned out someone stole it. They went back and followed her every move on the videotapes and caught the person (they then tracked that person down back to the ticket counter and figured out who he was by what time he was visiting).

    I really think you need to pursue this avenue!

    I did try this, but the airport said because it was before the security area it was a public space and airport security really wouldn't be interested in it. They said I could call the Vancouver police, but I can just imagine the bureaucratic red tape and paperwork for something that wouldn't really have a priority to them..
