How is the limited 500 lp nirvana deluxe not sold out?

I just went to the webiste and ordered the lp set picture discs.. whats the catch it says only 500 made? how are these not sold out??? it seems weird, but the 10,000 cd limited super deluxe is sold out??? whats going on anyone know??

    yea i couldn't believe it wasn't sold out... I purchased immediately... but how do 10,000 cd super deluxe sell out before 500 vinyls? either i'm lucky or they are over selling

    Super Deluxe 4CD+ 1DVD set is NOT sold out... you just need to look a little bit further.

    I just ordered it, and it says only 500 in the USA. There are a total of 1991 made. Still hard to believe 500 haven't been sold in the US? Just glad I got mine, seems like a cool set.

    Yeah, I'm actually kind of disappointed that the picture discs are the same price because I'm tempted to buy them. If they were more expensive, it'd be black vinyl without a question.

    These are released through UMe, right? I've got some of the recent Iron Maiden picture discs (also released through UMe) and they are complete shite. Fucking things skip on the first play.

    Picture discs are always a dicey proposition, but these are especially bad.

    ooh picture discs... i havent bought one of those since the 80s. i did however buy a red vinyl copy of slipknots duality not so long ago.

    Could have to do with pic disc having pretty bad sound.

    Could be that people overestimate the scarcity on stuff like this. As popular as vinyl has gotten recently it's still not that in demand. I've ordered some of this numbered stuff and it seems like as long as you get in on the preorder or in the early weeks of the actual release you're pretty safe.

    I'm also massively startled by this. I bought 4 of them the other day. The website said I could have ordered up to 25.... this makes no sense. You may ask "well why doesn't it make sense?" and i may say "cuz frickin 1991 copies of Nirvana picture vinyls, hand numbered, to commemorate their 20th anniversary SHOULD SELL OUT IN SECONDS!"

    I then also put in for 2 orders of the super deluxe CD/DVD combo. And my order went through. What the deuce???

    So my plan? Obvious and you shouldn't even have to ask. Keep one copy for myself and hells yes, benefit from selling to other collectors who missed out.

    Whatever. I'm pissed / confused / confuzzled / confused / confused / confused.

    There isn't any fine print, there's clearly a separate button to add the picture discs to your cart plus my email confirmation says "4 Disc Vinyl - "Nevermind" (Remastered Picture Disc) UPC: 00602527826073"

    However, I would not be surprised if that's what ends up happening if they haven't been keeping track of purchases. If that's the case I will be asking for my money back since I already got the regular black LPs for cheaper on Amazon. We'll see!

    Yeah, I finally just broke down and picked these up as well, because clearly I have nothing better to do with $87.29.

    My receipt says the same thing:

    They better not be. If the 500 pic discs sell out they need to take the order button down and say it is sold out. I only picked them up because they are picture discs. I bought the 4CD/DVD super deluxe which has all that music on it. If I get the black vinyl, I will kindly ask for a refund.
