Crazy Mary

I was on my way home today and listening to 107.3 WAAF in Boston. At 3pm every day they have what they call the grunge plunge where they play all grunge for about 30min-1hr. Someone called up and requested Crazy Mary and the played a studio version of the song I have never heard. During the "take a bottle, take it down....pass it around" the was a womans voice singing with Ed. I'm assuming this was a B-Side to a single but which one? Where can you get this studio version of Crazy Mary?

  • The studio version apperared on the tribute/benefit album, Sweet Relief: A Benefit for Victoria Williams. Victoria Williams, the writer of the song, provided background vocals on Pearl Jam's version of the song. Local radio here has grunge plunge too, but they only play four songs. Last week there was a day where they played nothing but Pearl Jam.

I usually do. BCN had a marathon of commercials so I switched to AAF cause as you know it's the only other rock station here in beantown. Well modern rock, ZLX is always my fallback.

By the way, Adam12 is pretty good about getting PJ rarities on the radio if it fits the themed lunch hour of the day. I remember Crazy Mary was played at least twice, once when the theme was "girl's names in the title" and another time highlighting folk rock songs.
