So, what does everyone think. How likely is it that pj will play mn in the fall? It worries me a little that the one U.S. show this summer is Chicago. It seems like sometimes a show in Chicago is all the love that the middle of the country gets. I suppose it just depends on the length of the tour. I would guess if there's a fair number of shows in the fall, we'll see the band here in Minnesota!

Here's my reason why I think they'll play MN in the fall: Eddie show at the Orpheum in 2011, Ed said he'd like to just come back and only play Minnesota. Sure that may be a line of bull, but maybe there's a small sense in the PJ camp that we're due for a show?

Here's my reason why I think they will NOT play MN in the fall: In terms of PJ's touring lately, we've been luckier than other parts of the country, all things considered. EV show in MPLS. PJ20 at Alpine. Wrigley this summer. I agree with your point above that because of the 1 US show in Chicago, we may get neglected on the "full" tour. Wrigley skews things, not in our favor.

Guess it depends on the # of fall dates. I'm betting 25 dates max. Just sayin'. I can't complain, I've been pretty spoiled with PJ shows in the last 3 years, so if you hear me whinin', kindly tell me to SHUT IT!

i think the chances are pretty good we'd get a show between the east- and west-coast dates as they cross the country. i would guess that despite wrigley, the central corridor of houston/dallas/st. louis/minneapolis will get some love. but i would also bet on minneapolis/st. paul getting the only show in the area- no des moines, kansas city, chicago shows will happen.

of course, who really knows. it's all speculation. but it's 10 years since the last proper show here and god dammit it's fucking time.

I am not seeing him, but was on the hook for picking up 5 tickets for my wife, daughters and one of their friends this morning. I was able to get in and purchased them in section 113(back from stage corner). It took awhile to get them to come up so I purchased them. Checked just for fun about 10 min after I got them and pulled up 5 that were right next to stage in section 118, but didn't get them because of the 8 ticket limit. The good thing is with the ones I purchased they were $150 less overall, and since I'm not going I don't care where they are :D

I agree with the assessments that have been put out there. It really depends on the number of dates that PJ plays this fall. If there are only 10-15 dates (fuck), then we probably wouldn't get one. But I think they will do a longer US tour (25-30 total?), and if that's the case, I think we'll get a show. They'll of course do the classic tour (mostly coasts, a few "middle of the country" shows), but we'd likely be first in line for a show, out of midwest cities that is, because KC, St. Louis, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin have all gotten shows in recent years.

On top of that, I've just got a gut feeling that we'll get a show (and no, not the terrible food poisoning that I'm just getting over). ;)
