  • 1st ever trip to Minnesota, the twin cities were a blast!  Thanks to the Drury hotel for taking care of us and for all of the various breweries and restaurants we visited for such great fare. Manny's in Minneapolis is a must try if you've never been, and Barrell Theory in St. Paul is a great spot. The venue was awesome, and, as always, the band delivered a great performance and a great time.  Pretty easy fight from the east coast and the airport there is a breeze get in/out of, especially compared to some Midwestern places I can think of (cough! cough! O'Hare!!!)
    Thank you, Twin Cities!

I might be biased, but MSP is the best airport I've ever been at in the US. Clean and easy in and out no matter what gate you are at.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I really hope Mauer and Morneau recommended the band return to MN soon. Target Field, the XL energy center, fan club show at first Ave, anything.

I wonder if the band had a good time while here and if they will remember us for the next tour.

I approve of this list. Was at Handsome Hog before the Saturday show. It’s a favorite spot for the wife and I. The collard greens are out of this world!

Forgot to mention Cossetta’s Market as well.

Really convenient and enjoyed by many there.

Next time you're at cosettas, do yourself a favor and go upstairs to Luis' Ristorante and get the lasagna. Whew, I am drooling over my keyboard just typing it.

I had a great Italian sub there. It was huge for under $13.00. I ended up splitting it with a friend (Hi Mike).

Handsome Hog was great for brunch. Spoon and Stable was OK, but definetely overrated given the $ IMO.

Sounds like I missed an amazing city and show.  Can't wait for 2024.

  • I felt like I got a good insight into food and drink while in town. I had a lobster roll at Smack Shack that was pretty legit, and met a dude who told me about the St. Paul Saints, which was perfect before seeing the show merch.  Also went to Matt's Bar for a Jucy Lucy, WA Frost & Co., St. Paul Grill where I learned about wild rice soup, Von Hanson jerky, and also made it out to the state fair for Pronto Pops and Mouth Trap cheese curds.  Add in the plethora of craft beers I had, I would say it's a good thing I walked miles each day.
