  • He got better as the night went on, but that's his voice.
  • his band sounded amazing. Best Dylan show I've ever seen.

    Bump for the snow

Snow sucks, and it's supposed to be below zero later this week. Too early for this crap.
  • What does that even mean? It's too early for this crap? I never understand it with Minnesotans.

It snows. It gets cold. It lasts a while. It gets warmer. It melts.

No matter how cold the winter, there's a spring time ahead
  • I would come back, met some of the best people there and found my new favorite beer that I can't get here. :)

Glad to hear it. Dirty Frank and I organized the Pub Crawl with this very idea in mind: because St. Paul was a well-traveled-to show (it's a hub, it's in the middle of other shows and a big city), we wanted people to have an excuse to get together, meet some of the local PJ fans, and experience a small part of our city. We are very humbled to hear from so many people that they all, invariably, had a great time. That was certainly our goal.

Hopefully there will be lots of reasons to come back in the future.

On an unrelated note, the song "Hey Brother" by Avicii reminds me of every Cormac McCarthy book I've ever read.

    What beer?
  • Surly Furious, the citrus and the bitter, it is so good I want more! Should have stashed some in my suitcase but there was no room - it also didn't occur to me in my PJ road trip haze. It probably wouldn't have lasted past Milwaukee anyway and definitely not past Denver. I also want to try a few of their other beers that I read about on the website, but can't get any of that goodness in Canada, especially not out west.

My buddy works over there and I've drank more Surly than I am proud to admit. Went to their Eighth Anniversary party last night. Still have a reeling headache.

Also see if your buddy is willing to smuggle some into Canada...

My dad has had parkinson's disease for about 15 years now. It's terrible watching someone's quality of life decline.
