    We've probably talked about this before, but what's the strangest opener you've seen?  I've gotten Pendulum, Why Go, Oceans and Of The Girl and Wash multiple times, so not a lot of variation there.

    For me, it has to the be their cover of the Byrds' "So You Want To Be A Rock And Roll Star" in New Orleans 2010.  Cool song, and they've only played it 7 times.

    Present Tense, Thunder Bay 2005. Not sure if they’ve ever done that before or since, was a very cool treat.

    pt's opened a handful of shows over the years, but yeah that was a nice surprise.

    it's gotta be low light at wrigley, for me. it's only opened one other time, for that 08 new york theater show. that they played release after low light was even more strange.

    edit: i guess there's arc in fargo. that opened a couple shows that tour and most likely will never happen again.

    spontaneously went to Harry Styles last night at the X.. haha. got club tix on side of stage for $15, so it was a fun sacrifice to make in order to bring joy to the 23 year old sister in law. fun show.  that being said.. I need some solid rock now. Getting pumped for Wrigley!!

    It looks like Target Field has exhausted the mainstay stadium performers (eagles, buffet, McCartney, Billy Joel, every bro country group). I wonder if they'll try to get some new blood in there next season.

    I'm not disagreeing with these artist being boring to me, but have they exhausted it? Wont they continue to book the draw, whatever that is? As opposed to whoever may "deserve" it or whom we want to play in our backyard.

    Not a lot of variation for me either.  Low Light at Wrigley, Last Exit when they "opened" for Petty, and DTE in Champaign 2003 would be the ones that aren't typical openers

    I got the whiskey. The wine seemed way over priced. $150 for four bottles of wine is way too much. Even if charity is considered. The beer, I'm not exactly sure how that works but hopefully someone brings a case to Missoula.....

    dunno if you guys got that ticketmaster settlement email today or were a part of that group that got a bunch of vouchers for 'free' shows and/or $2.25 discount vouchers for tix, but with live nation owning the varsity now, we finally have a local selection of shows to go to.

    nothing SUPER great on there, but for free (+2.81 for mailed tix each show), i got pairs of tix to the mc50 show, andrew w.k., and moe. butch walker is on there, and i remember someone here (z?) being a big fan of him.
