Agreed. While we can always claim Bob Dylan, Prince, and uh, Semisonic ( ), the indie music scene here is second to none. From indie hip hop like Atmosphere, Brother Ali, P.O.S., and Dessa, to indie/rock outfits like Tapes 'n Tapes, Solid Gold (although some would argue with me whether they are rock), Communist Daughter, the Replacements, the Suburbs, the Jayhawks, Husker Du and Mason Jennings, the Twins Cities has an awesome music scene.

So yeah...come for a Pearl Jam show in 2012 and stay the weekend to come some local music.

roma di luna is no more. the singer (whose name escapes me atm) is now in polica who, coincidentally, are opening for solid gold at that same turf show i mentioned above.

Ha yea, well last year Gilmour was in town during Waters' stay in the Twin Cities during the Wall Shows in St. Paul and some other city I can't recall, but unfortunately Gilmour didn't play that night. Everyone thought for sure it was goin to happen even though Gilmour said he'd only play one show w/ Roger and although I wanted it to be in MN I think everyone really knew it would be in England. Anyway... we can maybe just get Mother played by PJ. I'd be more than satisfied w/ that.
