lastnight it was chili at my brother's place. a nice little campfire a goin, guitars a playin (me on one of the guitars/with no idea what doin) and a singin, smoke in the eyes  while some drank. a nice little get together is a good thing. add good grub and it's pretty fantastic. these are good times with lifelong friends and a dutch oven or two.

this makes me want a hickory fire with all the shit fired up for a lovely early bird chilled air morning out in the woods somewhere camping a bit with coffee perking, bacon frying, and what you see above for supper or something.

  • Very interesting. I stick to the easy stuff, chili, potato soup. I never thought about stacking them on top of each other to conserve heat. I need to read up on some more elaborate meals it looks like. Oh, and he is a cheater- he uses charcoal briquettes.
