Pearl Jam,
It is the eve of the last show on your 2011 Canadian Tour, I'm writing this thank-you before the tour is officially over but I couldn't wait. You graced us for over two weeks with the excitement and energy that only Pearl Jam shows can. I was able to attend three - in Montreal, Toronto (12th), and Hamilton - and for each the experience was unique, yet familiar. What you bring as a band somehow feels supernatural to me- and coupled with the energy of the crowds, I'm left with feelings that are so positive, and so addictive that tonight a sort of withdrawal is taking place. Thank-you for coming to Canada, we hope to see you again soon, keep on RITFW!
Thanks

+1 Awesome post...except for the withdrawal part, of course. ;)
Lots of love, light and hugs to you all!
  • I totally echo your sentiments. I have been fortunate this tour to catch four shows across our beautiful country, with one more on the way. This band has evoked such positive vibes in me, it's unreal. So like you I have to thank the band; if it want for them, who knows when I would have traveled further west within canada than I have ever been before.

Yes, Canada was a blast - the band are getting better and better each and every time I see them. 8-)

Toronto shows and Hamilton, and we really are so damn lucky... Pearl Jam seems to love Canada, and especially this tour, have put more energy into their shows than any of the shows I've seen since I started listening to them in '05. Thank you, Pearl Jam, for these spectacular events!

  • I was lucky enough to attended the Winnipeg and Saskatoon shows (my 3rd & 4th)

As a new member of 10C, the initial struggle for tickets was a put off... but the resolution with ticketmaster... the Row 17 and 11 tickets... and the wonderful shows, stories read on the forums, and people i have met have made me a hardcore PJ fan life.

Looking forward to lurking on the Given to Fly page for the up coming south america tour and and patiently waiting for news on a 2012 US tour. Will see some of you in perhaps in Seattle, Minnesota, Vegas, NY or other US cities in 2012.

Thank you Ed, Mike, Stone, Matt, Jeff, Boom, the crews, 10C and all the great fans of PJ!

Indeed, I was very lucky to have someone talk me into making the trip, and the first 5 shows were absolutely amazing, some many high points, the major crashing low being the return to the UK, met so many great new people and got to see so many songs I never thought I would... Neil coming out for Rocking In The Free World really was the icing on the cake. I'll be back in Canada when they do another tour, that's for certain.
