Pearl Jam satellite radio?

I was just reading my sunday paper and came across the Best Buy flyer. In it, apparently Metallica is getting a 24/7 channel on XM. I like Metallica, especially their older stuff, but they have lost touch recently in my opinion. On the other hand, pearl Jam has only gotten better so I wonder how long it will take for PJ to get a satellite channel of their own. I'll tell ya, I'll be the first to subscribe to that if it happens. Imagine: they could play boots in their entirety, a shuffle of studio albums, interviews etc... it would be awesome I have to say! Who's with me?
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    Agreed!

I remember when our local classic rock radio station started playing Pearl Jam. I was thinking "This is awesome!" and also "I'm getting old."

Metallica gets this sort of thing too often. Stations have had that "Mandatory Metallica" show across the country for what, ten years now? But this is their 25th year as a recording act...I think that makes them Hall of Fame eligible now...maybe because of the silver anniversary thing?

But as someone else said, I pretty much already have my own Pearl Jam channel. In the car, in my ipod, on my computer or stereo when I'm at home...etc. But I'd love to see an XM Pearl Jam station. Unfortunately I don't know if it will ever happen, because whether we like it or not the band is not as relevant in "popular culture" as they once were. Metallica still has that. I personally am happy about this, because I think Pearl Jam has made some of their best music since all the attention has gone away.
I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

i'm happy about it too because now it's like pearl jam is our little secret :) also, i've noticed, if people walk around with metallica t-shirts you never know if they really are into the band or are just wearing the shirt cuz of their legacy and they know only enter sandman or something. but if you see a person wearing a pearl jam shirt you KNOW they had to either have gotten it from a concert, pearljam.com, or its a hand me down. either way someone's a fan!
