Been there before but not since I had kids, so it will be me, the wife and 2 daughters, ages 3 & 5. Going down to see Incubus next weekend and am looking for stuff to fill the rest of our time there.

I'll make sure we find a place to watch the bats, planning on getting a meal at Stubs and Torchy's tacos. Was thinking about Barton Springs but will depend on the weather. Already have a cheap hotel off Oltorf south of downtown.

Back around 94 I bought the Hallucinogenic Recipe boxed set from a record store just off Guadalupe St near the campus but I can't remember the name of that place.

Bring all suggestions....thanks!

Go to the LBJ Presidential Library. When my wife and I went to ACL 2009 to see Pearl Jam we spent one afternoon at the LBJ Library and it was really nice...basically a life history museum of him.

Your three and five years olds might not understand it, but it is cool.

  • Whatever you decide to do in Austin, don't get in trouble.

Remember out State Motto: "Texas - Come for vacation, leave on probation, return on a violation"
