value of pearl jam vinyl records

I have a set of Pearl Jam Vinyl records unopened and sealed since the day I puchased them, from Ten to Avocado. Just wondering what the estimated value would be (to me their priceless). I can't rely on ebay cause everyone thinks their record is the best and should be sold for $100-200. I can't seem to find a website that has estimated value. Also, how much more would they be worth since they are sealed as opposed to if they were opened and used. I would appreciate you fans giving me your opinions on this. Thanks.

If they're "priceless" to you, why do you care?

And ebay can be a pretty good determinant of what people are willing to pay. I dunno why you think it isn't. Just follow the ending bids for whatever vinyl for a few weeks and throw out the outliers. Simple mathematics at work for you.

Does this include compilations/live albums, such as RVM, Lost Dogs, Live On Two Legs?

I care cause I would hate to open them and cut their value in half. I have the CD's to listen to and the artwork inside is almost identical only bigger, which is why I kept them sealed this long. Ebay is great for sellers, but sometimes not so great for buyers. Right now a benny halll vinyl unopened is bid up to $750, and his reserve is still not met. What someone will pay for something doesn't necessarily determine it's value.

That's why I said to throw out the outliers. Obviosuly this guy is trying to get as much as he can, and there are apparently people out there willing to pay that much, but that is still far from the norm. Anybody who simply follows multiple auctions of the same item for a time will be able to figure out what one might expect. Even scouring online for used stores will show a great variety in pricing. If your'e willing to be patient, eBay is just fine fore determining what you might get for these priceless items.

They're only priceless cause they're mine, self interest. Obviously to anyone else there is a value or lack thereof. I asked some friends and they all said the same as you, ebay is the place to go. Thanks for the info. I'm not looking to sell yet, but priceless as they are, at the right price I could part with them. That's the only reason I was asking.

No, I think I get it quite well. You asked for opinions, and I gave you one. Sorry you don't like me pointing out the hipocrisy of saying something is priceless while at the same time wondering what the value is. If it was priceless to you, you wouldn't give two shits what its value is- it would have enough meaning to you that getting any value for it wouldn't be enough.

Just be honest, bro. Nothing wrong with honesty here.

Actually, you responded to the wrong person. If you check again, potluck said you didn't get it. Potluck didn't start this thread, I did! get your responses straight before you start mouthing off. I appreciate your opinion as I said before, but don't get all worked up about priceless. It's just a phrase. Don't you have anything you wondered what it was worth? Let it go. i just asked. Your the only one dwelling on pricelessness. get back to your life.

Ha! I'm sorry, but this is crazy. If someone wants to give up $750 for a sealed Benaroya vinyl, as pretty as it is my copy would totally be shipped tomorrow! I was at the show and it remains one of the greatest nights of my life, but I'm just amazed at the amount of money people are able to pay for records these days.

my apologies for the error- I did not see the response was from him, since I wasn't even directing my response at him. But my point still stands- don't say it's priceless to you when it clearly isn't. It's insulting to people's intelligence. There's enough people here who say and do the same thing and it's just annoying. You got me on a day when it finally got to me, I guess. There's nothing wrong with saying you just want to know what somethings worth without throwing out a meaningless and truthless caveat. We're not going to think any less of you because you might want to sell a record.

I guess it does. I was thinking like if, for example, some chap in east bumfuck can't live without a certain record and he pays $5,000 for it, all of a sudden every record has to sell for around that price. I guess that's the world we live in.
