Why are you all crying that the new system has robbed a few of your posts from a counter?

Does it really matter?
we're all going to the same place...

    j/k, it's not that it's important so much as it's different. i dunno. if you're gonna change the count, set it back to zero like when they changed the board last time.

    I wouldn't care it they never posted user post counts. I just want all the data from the old board over here. Right now I feel as though we are in a parallel universe posting on both boards - when they are the same board.

    The post count was showing the other day, On Tuesday when we first started the forum.
    I don't see them anymore. I'm almost at 7500 on the other board and this one took me down to 27 LOL!

    it's better not to ever make judgements about people based on number of posts... I had almost 4000 but I don't see that it makes a difference...

    I like it without at face value. Only having 100 and change, I find I don't get as many replies to questions I have. Yet people with 3000+ know one another anyway. If there was a way to have it tabbed down so people don't see it right away would be a plus.

    Was that the "Forum Posts" count in your profile? I think that number was based on the number of threads you started. This said 17 in my profile, but a couple days ago when post counts were being shown in messages on the board it was much higher (I had a couple thousand for my post count on the other board).

    Same here. I joined the Ten Club in 1993 and didn't get on the Pit until 2005. Maybe it's showing the date depending on how you were able to log in? I wasn't able to under my email and 10c password but was under my Pit name and password. :)

    I don't care - when post count becomes a goal some people post meaningless stuff simply to increase it. Why not assess people by the content of their posts rather than the number.

    That is why I reckoned the post count is not relevant. I doubt I've had 4000+ worthwhile things to say in my life to my closest friends, let alone on a message pit in the space of a month.
