Looking @ some the setlists for this year & wondering which recordin' I should download:

09/11/05 – Memorial Auditorium, Kitchener, ON, Canada
09/15/05 – Bell Centre, Montreal, QC, Canada
09/22/05 – Metro Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
11/28/05 – Gigantinho Gymnasium, Porto Alegre, Brazil
12/02/05 – Pacaembu, Sao Paolo, Brazil
12/04/05 – Apoteose, Rio De Janiero, Brazil

I didn't mention 10/3 in Philly cause I've heard it before which is the only show I've heard from 2005 besides Gorge. :) Can anybody recommend any other shows that look\sound better than the ones I didn't list? Thanks

Given that you can download them all for free why not sample them all? The South American tour was great but Canada saw some outstanding shows too. I have dvd boots from the two Chilean shows and ones from Brasil and Argentina which are amazing. Crazy crowds that make me wish I could go in November.

I went to both Atlantic City shows and loved them.

But you should download Rio De Janiero. The crowd is frickin' nuts, and the band's energy feeds off of them. Plus, it's my favorite version of "Kick Out the Jams." Mark Arm kills it.

    P.S. Mike Patton rules.

    Thunder Bay!!!!!
    Amazing!!!! Present Tense opener,
    Small venue, killer set list.
But it was hot as fuck.
And Ed climbed in the crowd behind the stage and sung Last Kiss to some lucky lady. My wife was soooo jealous.

Saskatoon for set and performance and Winnipeg for the crowd noise.

I would second this - I was at both. They opened with Wash, did Bee Girl, and Don't Gimme No Lip. I still remember Stone prompting Ed during the song (Ed was on guitar and Stone was singing).

Philly 05 lives up to the usual hype as well! Wash opener, Sad, Alone, Crown of Thorns, Harvest Moon, etc...
    real solid...
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!

Ill echo the Thunderbay comment. The show is certainly not as "epic" as Ottawa or Philly, but the setlist is rather unusual and certainly sticks out from all of the other 2005 sets. The performance is solid with great energy. The entire 05 tour ranks as one of the best tours, second to 03 for me personally.

and you get the dude that yells
"all right all right all right" in between almost every song. Funny when I listen now, but had to be annoying to those around him.

Hamilton is still one of my favorites from that tour.

  • Calgary is my favourite, but Vancouver would be #1 for me if they did not butcher the audio on the bootleg.

I remember there was an apology on the old forum stating how the audio was going to be a little poor and it was. Killed the boot for me a bit, but that was an amazing show (my first live PJ show).
