That no matter how good pearl jam even is, nothing will EVER compare to 60's/70's rock. The classics are simply the best. And although PJ is the next best thing, it most certainly isnt the rolling stones, hendrix, or zep.

Im listening to gimme shelter by the stones and cant possibly think of a better song in the world than this. Words cannot describe how incredible this song is.

    I disagree... Totally. And I personally hate the Rolling Stones. But Pearl Jam is far more a diverse band, and therefore in my opinion is much better than any other bands. It comes down to personal opinion, but nothing from that era compares to Pearl Jam now. Nice Try! :lol:

    I have a feeling that you are wrong.. respectfully, always, but.. really?? Chuck Watt can"t play drums, Keith ain't great, Mick is a total douche.. a decent song here and there, but technically and creatively Pearl Jam smokes them..

    No band can beat Pearl jam for me...There is Pearl jam,then a whole world of air,and next to that comes the 70"s...The Doors,Pink floyd,Jimi Hendrixs,Led zeppelin and Deep purple will treat my ears right..

    Regarding the original post, I disagree. For me Pearl Jam are above all, those bands were the ones I can thank my father for introducing me to during my childhood so I would be ready to welcome Pearl Jam with all my heart later :D
