I got on Twitter this morning and posted:

Going to Columbus to Fight some Foos tonight! @foofighters

A few minutes later I received a direct message from them and that conversation went like this...

@foofighters: hi. you got good seats for tonight ?

Nope in the nose bleeds! Haha

@foofighters: wanna be on the floor ?

Would love to be on the floor!

I have me and 3 buddies I'm going with though.

@foofighters: totally cool. what's your legal name as it appears on your driver license. i will leave your name + 3 on the bands guest list.

Awesome! ***my name***. Where do I pick up the tickets. Thank you so much!!!

@foofighters: ok ***my name*** + 3 will be on the BANDS guest list at the will call window. itll be@ the entrance to the gig, you'll see it.

@foofighters: remember to bring photo id in order to be able to pick em up

    That's mega-cool of them.

    Arena shows always, 100% of the time, have tickets for sale the day of show because of band tickets that they don't have enough guests for, and other reasons. The easy thing is for them to put them on sale. ...for their staff to go out of their way to do this, on their own dime, and without request, is pretty cool.

    I love how twitter, etc, is making the world a more connected place across the board.

    HOLY SHIT! Finally, concrete evidence of a legitimate reason to have a twitter account. (I might need to get me one of those now.)

    So it looks like you've got some shitty seats you need to unload (not that I'm interested, as I won't be anywhere near Columbus tonight.)

    That is really cool. Maybe I should try that for tomorrow nights show in Pittsburgh, because I have really shitty seats for that show too. ;)

    Not that I'm getting my hopes up at all, they've already done more than enough for me but I keep looking at the conversation and noticing that it says I'm on the BANDS list, in big bold letters. That sounds really awesome.

    Although - I skipped buying floor in LA - last 3 times I've been on the floor I've been kicked in the head by a crowd surfer and shoved and crushed too often to do it again (GreenDay, MCR ( my son), and X )

    That didn't happen on the floor for Them Crooked Vultures - maybe Dave's audiience is nicer. But taking my 15 year old so paranoid.

    I am taking two of my sons (aged 11 and 16) to see them in Philly and will be on the floor. We have been to a few shows (Green Day, Linkin Park, U2) in GA and haven't had any problems

    I am taking two of my sons (aged 11 and 16) to see them in Philly and will be on the floor. We have been to a few shows (Green Day, Linkin Park, U2) in GA and haven't had any problems

    I'd be interested to hear how it goes. It was at Green Day that I took a boot to the head - maybe it's LA? Another Mom took her pre-teen to the back after waiting for hours at the very front because she got scared.
    I was really torn about what to buy for the Foos- wound up with so-so-seats instead of the floor.

    that is AWESOME! and I am totally Jealous. I really hope we get some Texas dates next year. They have a thing on their site saying, "don't see your show, don't worry, we're coming for you too"." so hopefully.
