Flaming Lips

Last night I saw the Flaming Lips in Salt Lake City and to my surprise, it was rad. Don't get me wrong its not a PJ show - but it did have similar energy - yes. The band played to their fans and their fans soaked it up. Just a bump to all you fellow live show enthusiast, if they play your town - go see them!
I just keep moving on....

    They played Boise two days later. I got to hang with Wayne on Sunday - what a rad guy. He had conduct unbecoming of a rock star. He was at a local punk show to check out the Vibrators (old UK band), then we went on down to my favorite bar in town (Neurolux), where he gave everyone who wanted to talk to him equal time. He wasn't even remotely bothered by people wanting photos with him. He'd wrap you in a strong side-hug and smile at the camera. Hell of a guy.
    Ed...buddy...pal...stay true to your word and play Boise again.
