One thing that always stuck out to me about Thumbing My Way is that it seems like there is a line missing from this part (besides Ed's humming):


All the rusted sign we ignore throughout our lives
Choosing the shiny ones instead
I turned my back,... now there's no turning back
........


Anybody want to take a stab at it?
I'll end up alone like I began...
