    I don't mind them being political, but I think RA and S/T were a little overt. Seemed like Ed did a better job at camoflaging it. before those 2 albums, or maybe just more poetic and creative about it. I tend to think their natural inclination is to include political material on every album and maybe that's part of the reason something like BS seemed so forced for alot of the fanbase.

    I'm not asking that he starts campaigning for or against a certain candidate by making long speeches, I just find it strange that as recently as 09 EV was playing No War speaking out against the war and stuff like that disappeared as soon as BS dropped.

    I think Since Backspacer's release, the band's objective is to grow the fanbase, and perhaps they feel that politicizing their music and shows polarizes their fan base. Either that, or they feel that Obama can handle the messaging on his own, so he doesn't need a gang of musicians to tour in support of him.
