Long Road, Release and Go are my favourite opening tunes, so I've done alright, I think.
My Pearl Jam shows: 1 in 1995, 2 in 1998, 20 in 2003, 13 in 2006, 3 in 2007, 8 in 2008, 5 in 2009, 4 in 2010, 5 in 2012. EV: 8 in 2011, 1 in 2012. Brad: 1 in 1998, 1 in 2002.

    Which Arc did you see? I saw the first 3. San Diego and those two crackin' shows in middle America: Iowa and Arkansas!

    haven't seen an ed solo show yet so still the only time i've got to see how it's all done.

    sometimes was at my first show in 98 and i've yet to see that song again, too.

    Out of those four, I think Porch was the one I enjoyed the most - though Release was great after waiting so long to get it (finally in 2009).

    As for one of those straight-out-the-gate arse-kicking openers, I'd vote for a short and punchy Even Flow like Pittsburgh 2000. That'd freak the punters out.
