Cameron Crowe answers a few questions for EW. When asked if PJ20 was intentionally supposed to pay homage to Stein's The Who documentary, The Kids Are Alright. He said it was totally intentional.
And... :D. ... "there's a version that's almost purely performance that were going to put out along with the DVD of PJ20 called The Kids Are Twenty, which is our full on Kids Are Alright version."
