Spin The Black Circle 45

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I can't find it anywhere else on the net, so I'll ask it here. My brother gave me a copy of spin the black circle on a 7" on the cover it says taken from the Epic album "Life" is this a misprint or did pearl jam change the name of the album after they released the 45?

    vitalogy literally means the study of life. im fairly certain it was supposed to be titled Life before they called it vitalogy
