  • Carolina Drama might be my favorite song, i dunno, ever. Incredible storytelling, buildup, climax....it's just killer.

AND WE'RE PUMPED TO SEE THEM SATURDAY NIGHT!!
  • Just got home from the Raconteurs show. It was sick. They played Level which is one of my favorites so it was great to hear that one. The whole set was great it's a little bit of a blur cuz I was kinda fucked up. What really struck me was how "on" the band was. They were real tight and sounded great and overall I was impressed with the performance. Definitely gives me high hopes for future Raconteurs albums/tours and Dead Weather stuff too. An interesting side note besides the normal lineup of Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler, Dean Fertita sat in on keys for the entire performance. With Jack, LJ and Dean that's 3/4s of Dead Weather. Again, it was a great show all in all and leaves me very optimistic for future directions for both Raconteurs and Dead Weather. Now if only White Stripes could reunite someday. We'll see...

    Great show! Viva El Raconteurs!

Sounds like you had a blast!!

I think it would be cool if the Racs started workin some White Stripes material into their sets.
  • We've only had one Raconteurs Vault package as yet, hopefully the next or a future one might be based around these shows they've been doing.

I remember hearing that, but I always thought a band name couldn't be tradmarked til it gained a certain level of notoriety. I would think people would be claiming names left and right if it was so easy to claim, sorta like when people started claiming internet domain names then selling them to the interested parties.
