New Guitar Day!! Fender Telecaster.....

....a black '72 Custom reissue!!! Came home from work today and got it for my 40th birthday from Mrs. Veddertown plus a cool Marshall practice amp. I've wanted this for 25 years and it's amazing to finally have one. Jet black with a maple neck and fingerboard, exactly to my spec. :)

    I'll put a few pics up in the next couple of days. I've been playing it nearly all evening so I'll maybe be able to put it down tomorrow long enough to take some shots!! :D

    aw, come on. If you can stop playing it long enough to post here, the least you can do is humor us with some pics. I mean, I'm already pretty envious of you at this point, you may as well make it abject jealousy.

    If it has the so-called wide-range humbuckers ("so-called" because the reissues have regular alnico humbuckers in extra-wide cases, unlike the originals, which were something else entirely), then Jason Lollar has made some drop-in replacements that are supposed to be VERY tasty, if a tad expensive...
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
