Not a huge fan, but I agree the vid is funny. But what do the Foo Fighters have to do with it? :?

I think it was just a comparison in terms of making funny music videos.

Nothing, except that they TRY to be funny and Weezer actually IS funny.

Hmmm... I'm going to have to politely disagree with you big time on that. I feel that it's the exact opposite. But since we're talking about bands, they should be about the music first. I'd take the latest Foo Fighters album over the last five Weezer albums combined.

I actually really used to love Weezer and still think their first two albums are as good as anyone's first two albums, but they have regressed worse than any other band who survived the nineties. In other words, if all the bands that have broken up from that time didn't, and were making music like Weezer is now, then I'm glad they had the foresight to call it quits.

I would have to emphatically totally agree with your statement, spoonful. Foo are way funnier. And better all around.

The way I see it is that Weezer started with two stellar albums, and then dropped off. The Foo Fighters are still trying to put together two stellar albums.

There is nothing I disagree with in this post.

both are good and funny bands, but have to give the edge to the foos in both being funny and as a band.

    Weezer "funny" videos:

Buddy Holly, Keep Fishin', Dope Nose (some parts are funny), Perfect Situation, Beverly Hills (just the begining though), Pork & Beans, Troublemaker (kinda funny), (If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To

    Foo Fighters "funny" videos:
Big Me, Everlong, Learn To Fly (their funniest video, plus how can u not love dave and taylor in drag ;) ), Breakout, The One, Low, Resolve (sorta funny), Long Road To Ruin, White Limo (kinda funny), Rope

-plus all the side shit that Dave Grohl has been in (Tenacious D videos, Eagles Of Death Metal videos, etc...)
