Oh Pearl Jam wasn't my first show. My first show was Cliff Richard....when I was 3....and I was totally mesmerised and didn't move an inch the entire show....mum and dad kept laughing at me because I was soooo into it! And I saw him again at age 9 and age 17....love me some Cliff!
Then it was Tina Turner....after that was Inxs (that was my first proper standing right at the stage rocking out kinda gig)....and then Pearl Jam at age 15.
I don't know what to say. Other than why so much negativity towards pj20 weekend still? Had the time of my life. Just as much as the good people of Toronto. Montreal. Now Ottawa. Can't you just be happy that so many of us are getting to see some really special shows? Honestly I'm glad they are spreading the wealth around like they are. I couldn't be more happy for every person in that place tonight. But I will NEVER regret for 1 second my trip to WI.
With that being said, tonight looks amazing. Every set list has.
These Canada setlists are great, but not special when compared with the PJ's history of shows. PJ20's setlists were special (and great). I'll take Chris Cornell singing Star Dog Champion with Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard over a Neil Young solo any day.
If we are talking about first concerts, mine was Billy Ocean at a Florida county fair in 1985, I think. At 11 years old, I couldn't get enough of Caribbean Queen, baby!!
Until The Fixer, Inside Job was probably the worst Pearl Jam album song.
i'd take the fixer over inside job any day.

I agree with you on The Fixer, but i dig Inside Job.
I'm pretty sure they think they're in Hamilton because they're playing all the songs I wanted in Hamilton.
Breath, Blood, Whipping, Inside Job....
