"This ain't no book you can close
When the big lie hits your eye
like a big pizza pie".
I can't be the only one annoyed by that - I don't know what the actual lyrics are, but that's what I hear every time I listen to the song & it's driving me completely nuts.
When the big lie hits your eye
like a big pizza pie".

But this ain't one of them. What are you talking about?
Oooh - guessing game time...
"Love Boat Captain, take the reins and steer us t'wards the clear" ?
"Love is a tower and you're the key" ?
That's exactly what he says. He says "When the big lie hits your eye like a big pizza pie". I've listened to that song a billion times & that's exactly what he says.
"Why sit when you can dance?" - Me
Breaking news and building walls
Selling me what I dont need
I never knew soap made you taller...?
Are you people on CRACK?!?!?!
That is one of my favs!
Well, I've always said Cropduster was about circles, so I guess the pizza pie imagery fits, even if it's not actually in the song.
are you high? i have never heard that lyric. i know guitars play after the "big lie hits your eye" line, but i haven't noticed anything said about pizza...

Is the comedian that started this thread talking about thats amore?
not all of the lyrics on there are correct.....
i think that refers to a "soap-box," as in, standing on your soap box makes you (or what you have to say) more important. i think, at least....television reference before that, so it makes sense. i don't think its a bad lyric
thats my vote for the worst PJ lyric ever
and cheesiest song title
where is isaac the bartender?
There's nothing about light in the song Cropduster. All I know is that the song is about some gigantic pizza pie flying through the air - off a balcony - possibly in a big city like San Diego or New York & it landing right on someone's face with a triumphant "WhaBOOSH!!" sound. Not just on their face, but the whole pizza pie right in their eye.
That's amore.
"Why sit when you can dance?" - Me
he only sings that line on the dean martin duets record
just to prove to you how smart i am... its "you're," not "your.":)
that is so dumb it made me laugh, heartily
thanks
Little known fact: flying-pizza-song Cropduster was originally known as Crust-copter.
definitely a full moon out lol
Also, some of you are really, really bad at deciphering lyrical meanings, and I'll just leave it at that.
....I'll probably only go back a couple more times.
Seems like the person maybe doesn't realize he's got an old Italian ditty confused with Ed's song...:p
