So, my mind is kinda flipping out these days
being FORCED to take a back-seat
I've been so busy and distracted and over-heated
(Maybe it's my age?!)
summer-salts and cart-wheels down a hill
(no, I'm not ill!)
up and down and round-about
side-to-side and all stressed-out
but I've learned something lately
something about irrationality and lack of clarity
and confusion and heat
it's all a mixture and a part of
a larger system we live with
I feel like I've been out of the loop for not knowing
a confusion, illusion, intrusion that intense emotional states can cause
(Maybe I'll finally understand toddlerhood as an old woman?!!)
