who knows what would have become if Roger Waters hadn't been an ass and pushed him out after "The Wall"....

any reunion now would be pointless....it's a sad day.....
if hope could grow from dirt like me.....

  • I am shocked. You can probably see from my Message Pit name that I am a huge Floyd fan. I have seen many concerts with Rick since 1973 and have been mesmerized by his keyboard playing. He was one of a kind. I think he was to keyboards what Gilmour is to guitar. He was a master technician with with his own great style and will be missed greatly.

    REST IN PEACE RICK
  • ugh. this is sad. he will live on through his music.

  • Summer '68 is one of the best (and most underrated) Pink Floyd songs there is. Wright was great.

I just saw this on TV... Very sad news indeed. Listening to the Floyd won't be quite the same from now on.

Last summer?? Where? When? How? I must have missed it because i thought the Live 8 show was the last time all four of them played together.

  • Wow, Been gone just heard this so sad loved hearing him on the keys. Well him and Syd have made it to the Pipers gates.

Completely inaccurate. For a short time he was only a contracted session musician, but he famously was the only one to profit from the hugely expensive The Wall tour.

he always shaked when he played live and it didnt sound good, so the live shows he was at were recorded earlier, and he just lip/keyboarded synced his part
