I have a 6 year old Son and a 4 Year old Daughter that i sing and play guitar to every night as they go to sleep.
Does anyone else do the same for their kids?
If so what songs do you sing?
I need some more for the repertoire
I am keen to hear any PJ or Non PJ suggestions
Here's a list of songs that i play pretty much every night:
Small Town
Girl From The North Country
Man Of The Hour (strumming chords version)
Guaranteed (i try to fingerpick this one)
Just Breathe (fingerpick)
Long Road (this one nearly always gets them to sleep)
Release (chord version: dsus2, G, Cadd9)
Picture in a Frame
Society
Black
Wishlist
Last Kiss
Off He Goes
Immortality

Cool link, but my kids are a little old for those type of lullabies, they sound as though they would be great for babies2009 ~ Melbourne

I'd say Around the Bend is the obvious choice. He wrote that as a lullaby.
A few of the uke songs could work. Man of the Hour is always a nice slow one and fun one to play. Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

It's better than the PJ lullaby CD with Jeremy, etc...sounds like a bunch of crickets put together to make noise in the key of PJ!
I usually revert to Bee Girl or Off He Goes when singing to them"Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?0
