Today I drove from Philly to Indiana to our farm, that was my grandfather's until he passed away. My dad and his brothers are keeping it in the family for now. I had to go without my dad for the first time since he hurt his back and the doctors don't want him in the car for long periods. Here is the Pearl Jam part. From Philly to Pittsburgh, I listened to Pittsburgh 03 boot. From Pittsburgh to Columbus, I listened to Columbus 03, Columbus to Cincy, I listened to Cincy 06. From Cincy to Indiana, I listened to Nobelsville 03.

Has anybody else ever done this on a road trip?

  • I listened to the Gorge box set driving from Pgh to CT. Don't know about the rest of you but listening to boots while on long roadtrips seems to make the time go faster. Also when driving from Pgh to Buffalo I listened to State College 03...By the time the show was over I was pretty much there.
    PJ FANS ROCK!!!

Finally got that "One for the Thumb"!!! Got the "Six Pack". Now we're on a "Stairway to Seven"

Did something similar to this in '06.
Bozeman, MT to Denver... about 10 hours.
Listened to all studio albums(in reverse order). It def made the drive seem shorter.

We could play a radio or listen to or Ipod. I used to listen to boots all night.

  • The Gorge from Chapel Hill, NC to Atlanta, GA one time with a friend of mine as we drove it through the night. Our logic was we need either a lot of caffeine or we can just listen to Pearl Jam. So we went with the second and hardly had to stop. Brilliant.

I made a nice 2000-06 compilation recently, and now that the '08 is out I'll have to make another batch of collections. There always fun. :)

I've done it - due to my remote location, I have to drive quite long distances if I want to do anything, and also for work. Pearl Jam boots are great; sometimes its the only time I get to listen to a whole show in peace - at home/work I'm always interrupted by someone or something.

I got out here to the farm and the cows had broken out. They broke some boards to get out of the barn to get to the green grass in the barnyard/lane. I had to put up a gate and nail some boards up.
