My Vancouver 10c tickets really have to go to waste??

So I thought I was going to move from the US to Vancouver for work for all of September and I bought fan club tickets. It turns out at the last minute, I had to go to Mexico instead. There is no way I'll be in Vancouver, so I figured I could either have friends pick them up and go, or sell them at face on here or whatever, but then I read the following:

"The Ten Club member whose account was used to purchase the tickets must be present to collect the tickets on the day of the show. No exceptions."

I've been a fan club member for about 13 years, and never had anything like this happen before, but seriously, every time it happens, the seats cannot be sold or even given away?? It doesn't bother me at all if I lose the cost of the tickets, what bothers me is that there will be 2 empty seats, perhaps even front row where there should be some diehard Pearl Jam fans!! Is there nothing at all that can be done? Any suggestions of who to contact?

Contact 10c and let them know you will not be coming.

And I were in your shoes, I wouldn't bother sending an e-mail. Just call them and explain the situation. There's a chance you'll be able to find another 10C member and you can transfer the purchase to that person.

I would love to buy them, I'm so sad that PJ is not coming to Alaska. But I cannot because I'm a Turkish who is married to a native american for 10 years but still I'm not allowed to exit US. I demanded right to visit home 3 months ago and I'm told I have to wait at least 6 more weeks. So because of this horrible and horribly slow procedure our life has been on hold and we couldn't see any earlier PJ shows and seems like we cannot see any in near future. I really wish they came to Alaska which is so close to Canada in the end!

World is so unfair and sick and music heals. So I would love to be able to buy those 2 tickets from you and me and my husband could fly to Vancouver. perhaps in a dream

If those seats really will be empty, I guess we will be sitting there :)

    take care

pretty sure theres nothing you can do but let 10c know so they can give your seats to a 10c member with a higher number, they will mail you ticket stubs too but as far as being out of cash/being able to transfer tix you are out of luck the second you pay for them.
  • I have a pretty high member number (439xxx), so I would love to do some sort of exchange if possible. I purchased 10 club tickets, but they probably won't be as good as yours.

  • I've had to eat a few pairs of tickets over the years, they stick to their policy. At least with me they have.

  • You should let the 10C know for sure. In '08 I got an email from the 10C asking me if I wanted EV night one tickets because a member had to give theirs up. I had tried to get tickets but got shut out on the 10C pre sale so when a pair became available I guess I was next in line.

Maybe your loss could be another PJ fans gain?

  • Ty all, I'll call the 10c Monday to plead with them and see if there's anything I can do :)
