Yeah, because Letterman has NEVER done a show with just two guests before. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. If it is PJ, great, but he could just have a 6 minute longer segment with Will Smith.
What would be the harm in notifying the public about an apperance by Pearl Jam by David Letterman's people?? I don't think they are doing the show. If you haven't heard an affirmitive word then most likely it's not happening.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

you would think he would want to promote it... viewers= ratings!!
I just walked up to the Letterman theatre on my lunch break... and I asked the security guard.. and he had no idea what I was talking about.. but that could mean nothing....
Will Smith is one of the biggest stars in the world when it comes to worldwide box-office take (and one of the few bankable stars left in Hollywood). The guy definetly warrants a longer than usual Letterman interview.

I don't suspect PJ will perform tonight. And I'd prefer they didn't. They need to rest up for Tues and Wed
