  • I sure am. I live in Waterbury Vt and took a big hit. Lost my passport in the flood, which made me miss the Montreal show. Not to mention the mountain of work a head of us.

Sorry to hear about all of the shit going down there. I grew up in Washington, VT and still have family there, in Barre Town and East Montpelier. They all escaped w/o issue although 2 of my siblings had their workplaces flood.

I have really been amazed by all of the tales of folks pitching in to help their neighbors in the clean up efforts. Really hope those poor bastards in the towns cut off by destroyed bridges can get temp bridges up in time to support Oil trucks for heating fuel delivery in the winter and other essentials. Amazing what the water damage was to the northeast and I did see a lot of Waterbury pictures as well.
Hope that you and yours made it through w/o too much fucked up stuff happening to you as a result.

  • Lost half of house, truck and garage. My wife and kids were safe, which is the most important thing. We have crews of people working around the clock getting us back on our feet. The community support is tremendous and i could not have done any of this with out their help. I am lucky that my house is still there, across the street they are gone. I feel for alot of us, since no flood insurace was purcahsed by most of our neighbors. Oh the mighty Winooski, you got me this time.

Cold beer and good friends got me through it all. My personal hell will be removing wet drywall for the rest of my life. I do not wish that upon anyone. Not to mention futon matresses that are flooded weigh more then an elephant.

That sucks but I am glad your family is safe and you can rebuild. Who would think to get flood insurance there? Crazy shit.
