This is a stab, but you've gotta start somewhere. This is the studio version. (It was sung differently on TV.) Correction welcome.

    I believe Matt is singing "Always looking"

    And apparently the studio version Ed sings "when your life fails", but on Fallon he sang "when your life ends"

    Hey Kid Canada, YouTube Pearl Jam Ole and you'll find the band partaking in that soccer tradition. somewhere in central America, I think. Can't help but wonder if that experience somehow inspired Eddie for this song.
