I don't know if it was officially announced, but the Cedar Lee in Cleveland IS showing PJ20 on the 20th at 7pm.

I emailed with the guy there and he said they were working on it, then all of a sudden it popped up on their site.

gotta have hope gary! :D but for real a lot of places are getting showings that pearl jam hasn't played in a lot longer than pittsburgh
  • Im trying guys. Its a long shot i know, but im tired of missing out. Im contacting theatres like crazy. I cant find any contact info for the company who's in control of this . If anybody can get some contact info let me know
  • Well it looks like the few Carmike Cinemas that were showing this and did sell tickets in PA aside from the one at the Village have pulled it.

They are saying it wasn't their decision and it is only being shown in major markets ie NY and LA.
I see tickets are still for sale in Cleveland so......

Like I said in a previous post I have to go about a refund now and I'm not very happy. If it wasn't for this post and the boards I most likely would have shown up night of the movie to find all this out. Sighs.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh- I love this city but I don't blame them for not coming here. but this is a movie and I think the decision to show it is the cinema's not the bands. If I knew how to get the movie I could try to get in touch with a performing arts center. They have the ability to show it and sell tickets they showed Killing Bono there.

  • I just called the distrabution company incharge of this and left a message. So lets hope i get a call back and can work something out with them. :D
  • Ok now i sent e-mail to the guy incharge. Pittsburgh needs to start being more vocal about the love we have for this band. If this happens i can't wait to meet everyone there
  • the cinemark at the mills is a great theatre , but it sounds like the company releasing this doesn't wanna anything to do with cinemark

I emailed an individual Manor Theatre in Squirrel Hill (<!-- e --><a href="mailto:teresa@cinemagicpgh.com">teresa@cinemagicpgh.com</a><!-- e --> ... http://www.cinemagicpgh.com/info.htm). Hopefully she can help. It wouldnt hurt emailing her too
  • Lowes down at the water front is not sure yet, but not looking good. Cinemark is a no go as of now. :(

I was kinda hoping/thinking PJ20 was gonna be held near pitt. Back in '01 i saw Rolling Rock tour with STP, Deftones, & live in Latrobe. Venue was kinda similar to alpine from the looks of it.

the Rolling Rock Town Fair!!!! I was never at it but my sister used to go to those and said they were a blast. PJ should just play the First Niagara Pavilion because it's an awesome amphitheater and is located like 5 miles from my house ;)

Saw PJ there twice... Really is a great place for an outdoor show.

    PA bump

I find it hard to believe this is showing in one PA city. We have a little theatre in Harrisburg that shows independent films, that was my only hope and it looks like that's not going to happen.

I'm sure everyone appreciates your hard work. Hopefully it pops up by next Tuesday.

We do appreciate it a lot man, thanks, and I hate to bitch nut this is complete bullshit, how hard can it be to screen a fucking movie
  • i was listening to aet encore yesterday and a bro from pittsburgh called up and asked tim and rob if he can apologize on behalf of pittsburgh for however we have wronged them

anyway he mentioned that we were gettin shafted here in pgh, and one of the guys said he was making a note about pittsburgh needs a screening

somewhat encouraging, although this was an encore presentation as i stated above so its almost a week ago and nothing yet...

Statement A: I live in Pittsburgh
Statement B: Ten Club hates me

    Therefore, Ten Club hates Pittsburgh

    have you been contacting 10c?
  • I have been an avid PJ fan since first seeing them in Pittsburgh back in 91 and 54 times since at various venues. Since 06 we have been overlooked for shows and now the movie. Every show I saw here from 91 to 06, were well received and attended so I don't understand the band's issue with playing Pittsburgh. Plus many of the shows were incredible as the boots attest. Since do many of us continue to support the band by attending shows in other cities, buying print and audio media, and traveling for solo efforts, it is confusing why there are no showings since there is a market for it. Hope Tim B carries through with his statement to look into this for the OP. Also thanks for your persistence in trying to get a break for us who would love to see it and have been an active part of the audience at many of the shows I have heard footage is included. After taking my son to AV for PJ20, I sure could use a PJ fix at home for a change. Thanks again!
