Did you attend PJ20 and check out some of the lesser known artists on the two side stages?
If so, who was your favorite performer that you had never heard before?
Just a quick survey of people's favorite new side stage discoveries at PJ20.

I loved Glen, but I have seen him quite a few times. I did not catch all the artist's sets, but David Garza really stood out for me. He is a great performer and guitar player.

Who did you discover?

Not all side stage, but I'll definitely be checking further into QOTSA, The Strokes and Liam Finn.

David Garza has been around for a long time. I used to go see him in small clubs when I was in college in the mid 90s. His early stuff is great. Try to find all the albums he released as Dah-Veed.

Yeah, I've got a some of their albums and I dig a couple tunes off each.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!! the TCV album so I don't doubt how incredible he can be.
  • As far as QOTSA, I hit up my local record store for three albums last night. I can't believe how good they were live. On the way out of town, talked to a few people who saw Josh at the airport. He was super cool, but was feeling that bottle of whatever he was drinking on stage Sunday.
I gotta admit I had some reservations about the Strokes, but they were pretty good. Even better with Ed.
