I was only able to see Saturday's show. I had to get back home for work Sunday. The frat boys were out in force and causing serious trouble on Saturday. How was the behavior of the meathead contingent on Sunday?

Well, I guess that's better than pushing girls aside to get their poster at the merch booth.

I was especially amused and disgusted at the same time how, mere minutes after leaving a concert celebrating "family" and togetherness, so many people turned into complete assholes trying to get out of the parking lot. As if there were important places to get at 1am in the middle of Wisconsin.

just like you would expect... frat boys

My wife and I were walking out having to listen to a bunch of them talking... pointless drivel about getting laid and drinking beer. Silly boys, brag to yourselves, none of us believe your shit anyway.

We were tailgating on Saturday next to this contigent of guys from Mass. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt I really did, but by 4:00-4:30 they weren't disappointing. They kept playing Porch over and over and over and over...well you get the idea and they started smacking styrofoam cooler lids on their heads. I really didn't understand the behavior but it was entertaining to say the least. At that point we needed to leave so I didn't say anything. It was ridiculous to watch.

I know that one might consider this point of view 'elitist', but when hard earned money is spent on the band that has meant so much for so long, and a group of white male 26-29's feel as if they deserve to be treated with superiority just because they squeeze into an extra medium shirt and can bench press over 250 pounds...(that may have been a run on)...I am disgusted.

Saturday crowed seemed very fucked up. I saw zombies, people falling all over the place. I saw one kid fall off the hill and the first thing to hit the ground was his skull. The most awful thud I have ever heard. Out side of some dude passed out in the 10c grass on Sunday I did not see the same level of waisted.

Saturday did seem a whole lot worse I agree. Call me crazy (I kind of still feel crazy for doing it) or a poser, but my wife and I bailed a few songs early to avoid sharing the road with that. I rarely if ever get worried but the level I saw made me fine with missing a song or two.

Sunday seemed a lot better from where I was.

  • Sad but too funny... I saw one drunk guy stagger down the hill and bang face first into the side of a concession stand. Then he just stood there staring, six inches from the wall, not comprehending how this strange obstacle mysteriously rose up in front of him.
Then there was the drunk, angry, chain-smoking "frat girl" I was standing next to on the lawn who picked up my tiny backpack and tossed it away so she could have more room. Then when PJ came on she immediately started screaming at the top of her lungs. I quickly sought refuge elsewhere. Not worth the headache.

I love that every drunk person that acts like a fool is a "frat boy". There were those 20-something year old dudes that were drunk, but there were plenty of drunk hipsters and drunk "adults". When I was walking into the 10 C gate, there were 2 guys that looked to be about 40 years old-non frat types and they could hardly stand. Point being, it doesnt matter if you were in a frat or if you wear skinny jeans and are smelly. Being an asshole knows no socio-economic bounds.

The meathead contingent seemed to be much more under control on Sunday. I'm not sure if it was weather or if they had to realize that they are 35 and not 19 when they spent all day sunday nursing the worst hangover of their lives.

    Much more vomitting on Saturday.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

    I bet you were/are a fraternity member ;)

Saturday lawn was definitely the worst. I had these two "frat boys" in front of me who kept bouncing around like drunken idiots (chest bumps included). I finally had to give one of the fuckers a pretty good shove after being stepped on for the 12th dozen time.

  • WTF is the difference between a "frat boy" and your everyday asshole? I was kicked out of elementary, middle, and high school so to say the least I have no clue what qualifies one as a frat boy... If you mean people in collared shirts, cargo shorts and flip flops remind me to pop my collar before I bit@hslap your greaser ass..Socias rock, eat it pony boy!

i had reserved seats saturday and was so tired from traveling and being in the weather all day that by the time mudhoney hit the stage i needed a nap. so i went up in the lawn with a poncho and crashed. a bunch of people were snickering and taking pics...i really don't care if i'm tired i will go to sleep anywhere. beach, lawn whatever.

and i dance with disregard to how cool i look and also look like im 20 so i'm always scoffed at by older folks. anyways i didn't have any problems. :D
