My visit to Seattle
I went to Seattle for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time I'd ever been. I was only there for a day and a half and I basically just walked around the city on one of the most gorgeous days. I used a link from the old Fivehorizons website as a travel guide around the city for various Pearl Jam related sites.
Here's a link to some pictures... It's not much, but I thought some of you might enjoy.

Thanks. Your city is gorgeous. I was there on a couple of really beautiful days and didn't want to leave.
I agree. The most beautiful city I've ever been to. I can't wait to go back.

I read somewhere (I think on 5h) that the sculpture in Kerry Park has some Pearl Jam significance. It's called Changing Form.
Do you happen to know or does anyone else?
I feel like it's song lyric, but I can't match the song... thoughts?
Sitting here in Vancouver after yet another soaking wet day I'll say it is also a great place but I think I left my heart in Seattle somewhere.
Great pics. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay. If it was even half as good as my time in Seattle then I know you had a wonderful time.
*~You're IT Bert!~*
Hold on to the thread
The currents will shift
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you can return & spend more time.
My sister lives in Mukilteo, time for a visit!

You lucky thing! If I ever got to Seattle that's exactly the sort of thing I'd do! I'm from Australia and have 3 kids so I'm not really in the position to go to the US at the moment, though I did go in '93, but not up as far as Seattle. Now, if I went to the States Seattle would be the first place I'd go. Thanks for sharing your pics, absolutely great. Cheers!
oh, for those who don't know, the Croc will reopen under new management
This was an awesome summer that renewed my love of this band and it ended on an cool note with this trip to Seattle.

i know i love it no matter the weather...i'm just hoping that i get the job
Good luck on your interview!
Kenyon Hall where EV played two concerts prior to his Into the Wild tour is on 35th Ave SW S. of Holden, on the East side of the street. I was so bummed to have missed him play! I read about the concert here a day late!
I have a sneaking suspicion that EV is standing on the rocks by Coleman Pool, at the Tip of Lincoln Park for the back cover of Into the Wild. Lincoln Park is an amazing 100+acre park in Seattle that is on the Puget Sound waterfront with views of the Olympics. You won't believe you are in the city limits of a major city when you are there.
Another fun tip is to watch the old movie Singles that features cameos of PJ...then you can hit the Capital Hill neighborhood to spot the locales from the film.
How did I miss that tidbit? I think the Croc was the first place I drank at when I moved to Seattle for college. Whoo!
Here's an article on the re-opening in January/February 2009:

Investors in the nightclub include Marcus Charles, a Seattle club owner and Capitol Hill Block Party co-producer, and his wife, Sheila, as well as Peggy Curtis (a longtime Pearl Jam associate), Sean Kinney (of Alice in Chains) and Susan Silver (manager of Alice in Chains and former manager of Soundgarden).
Great pics btw (from a Seattle native).
