Here, check this out... it is a documentary on U.S. Intelligence pre-9/11 and spans across both the Clinton and Bush Administrations:

If "The Man Who Knew" actually knew, why did he accept a job at the WTC 19 days prior to the attacks and get murdered?

Plus weren't the planes that hit the WTC travelling from Boston to NYC. So unless fighters managed to catch up to the planes over the ocean at some point, they would have had to shoot them down over heavily populated areas. This would have meant that even if the planes had not made it to the towers, there would have been a lot of casualties.

No, they LEFT from Boston and NY heading to the west coast.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Watch it... that is the great irony of O'Neill.
He was unable to get all of the pieces because of politics and bureaucratic bullshit, not with other intelligence agencies, but within the FBI. All of the pieces that pointed to the September 11, 2001 attacks were there... but, everyone wanted a their own piece to themselves in order to further their own careers. This spans both Clinton and Bush administrations.
It is a fascinating tragic story.

Here is my point on WHY Bush and his administration could NOT have pulled off the September 11th attacks.
    ...
If there were sucessful in pulling such a large scale, heavily co-ordinated, multi-faceted secret mission...
    THEN...
WHY couldn't they smuggle some weapons of mass destruction into Iraq... so they could say, 'I told you so'?
    ...
My opinion is the Bush Administration USED the attacks as a reason to get Saddam Hussein... several in that administration had personal vendettas against Hussein.

kind of hard to pass anything when 60% of the legislative branch is an automatic "no" vote even before debate begins...

3 tea bag congressmen are skipping obama's speech tonight, and mcconnell today was saying he is automatically already against obama's jobs plan before he even announces it...so yeah...they have no respect for the man, nor for the office of the president.

also, why are you asking ed to speak out? he probably feels that obama now is better than any of the gop field. just like i do. and i don't need ed to tell me how to think and feel.

What I'm saying about Ed is, he can't possibly think obama is doing a good job. Look at how many wars we are currently in. I don't see anybody protesting. I don't need Ed to tell me how to think and feel. I don't agree with Ed on anything he's about. This country is in the worst shape it's ever been. If it were a repub. In office you guys wouldn't shut up but another liberal destroys this country and your nowhere to be found. I got off topic, actually was never on topic so I'll end my discussion or rant.

Why is the country in the shape it is in?
How did America get to where it is today?
    ...
Also, people like Gimme and myself would have been equally angry if Ed himself were the president and took us to war with Iraq. If Al Gore had won the presidency in 2000 and did the same things Bush did... you'd wouldn't hold him responsible for the aftermath of his poor decisions... right. You don't care how we got here... correct? Why... because it doesn't matter?

It would have required a lot of people to wire the World Trade Centers to fall. None of these people that were involved with this operation cared that American citizens died... that more would die in war... and haven't said shit to anyone? They can't all be Haliburton execs... some ballistics man had to have set up the rig.
Yet... these very same people... cannot hide one fucking low yield nuclear bomb in one of the hundreds of cargo planes and ships... in one of the hundreds of thousands of crates in one of the thousands of trucks that were in Iraq?

i agree Cosmo. i am against the policy no matter who implemented it.

i remember raging on here against the iraq war in 2003 not because i hated bush's guts, but because it was the absolute wrong move to make on our part.

the fact is we are where we are because of bush's 2 wars, mismanagement of the economy, and overall failed policies. obama inherited a country in a tailspin. and anyone who had ever flown a plane knows, those are very difficult to get out of...

speaking of terrorism, has anyone heard of the "credible threat" of a terrorist attack on new york or d.c. around 9/11 this year? it was announced immediately following obama's speech and they had known about it for several days. if there was a liberal bias they would have broke the news earlier today to give obama more ammo in his speech tonight, but instead it was released to detract from obama's message.. hmmmmmm......

Pure nonsense, when I lived in the DC Metro area I protested there and in NYC from 2003 through 2010. I even went down to a Tea Party Protest in DC....I even had my truck on one March 2006 recorded by some governmental agency. it was no big deal cause guess there wasn't squat I could do about it. Protested through heat, freezing fucking temps, cold rain morning noon and at night...till my voice went hoarse and unheard but still I protested even more against out current administration even though I didn't vote for it.

To me it doesn't matter one bit who is in charge of this country now or past administrations...if we are in unjust and unwarranted wars I WILL protest them and I've done so enthuistically. That said have you or did you do the same during the Bush Administration or did you just go along for your Patriotic ride? Well did you?

Wow kind of nasty but expect nothing less from you. I unfortunately didn't protest during Bush term. Didn't have the time. I was a dem when Bush was in office. I didn't agree with the Iraq war and don't agree with war in general so I wasn't along for a patriotic ride like you think. Lol. You make me laugh. Iv made big changes over the last year, I'm a better person for those changes. I'm not a patriot in any way, but can a liberal not be patriotic?

Well when you make an across the board assumption that no one is protesting you better expect someone to speak up and that someone happens to be me. It shouldn't matter whether you are a Dem or Repub...if you detest war then speak out about it in whatever ways one can. I did what I could while i was there in DC as I saw the Pentagon burn from a distance. I questioned everything from that day while I was on my way to get my daughter from school and took her to protest marches on my shoulders years later.

We do what we can do as citizens of this country...I might be now far away here in South Florida and 10 times more busy but if I get the chance I'll be there in DC to speak my mind even if it falls on deaf ears. I was once a part of that military complex years ago and it appears we have now become a thriving nation that feeds on constant war while this country whittle away from it's seams.

I was NOT Patriotic after 9/11...refused to adorn ANY kind of flag bearing but now starting a few years ago I have my now faded flag a military buddy of mine gave me stuck in AC vent in my truck. Just to remind each and every day I'm in there to keep the peace.

o.k I read the whole story....I'm calling bullshit my friend but keep digging.

    Godfather.

You're calling bullshit? You're calling bullshit on what? The Bush administration were in posession of a document entitled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US” which contained the following information:

Al Qaeda, it said, had active cells in the US that were planning attacks. It mentioned the existence of such cells in California and New York. It said the FBI had collected information since 1998 indicating “patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.” (Our emphasis).

The document also referred to the World Trade Center bombing of 1993 in connection with a statement by bin Laden that he wanted to follow the example of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef and “bring the fighting to America.” It further said that the foiled Al Qaeda plot to bomb the airport in Los Angeles during the millennium celebrations of December-January 2000 “may have been part of bin Laden’s first serious attempt to implement a terrorist strike in the US.” It cited statements from convicted plotter Ahmed Ressam to the FBI that bin Laden was aware of the plot and that a top bin Laden lieutenant helped facilitate it. (This history, it should be noted, was anything but remote, since the aborted attack on Los Angeles occurred only twenty months prior to the August 6, 2001 briefing).
